- No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

- One item in your browser's storage that remembers light or dark mode.
- Sites you visit from our links, such as a product seller, set their own cookies.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser. Local storage works in a similar way but stays on your device and is not sent with each request. Both can remember settings, keep a site secure, or track what you do. This site uses them only for the first two.
What this site uses
| Name | Set by | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare | Strictly necessary cookie | Tells people apart from bots so abusive traffic can be blocked. Set only when Cloudflare's bot protection runs. | 30 minutes |
| cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Strictly necessary cookie | Remembers that you passed a security check, so you are not asked again. Set only if you are shown a check. | Up to 1 year |
| theme | The Tested Stack | Local storage, functional | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Never sent to us. | Until you clear it |
We do not use analytics, advertising pixels, social media trackers or session recording. Our fonts and images are hosted on this site, so no third party sets cookies when a page loads.
Cookies set by other sites
When you leave this site, the site you go to sets its own cookies under its own policy.
- Affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link in a review, the seller or the marketplace it sells through may set a cookie that records the referral, so we can be paid a commission if you buy. That cookie is on their site, not ours. See our disclosure.
- The Friday email. Our email provider may record when you open an email or click a link in it. That is covered in our privacy policy.
- Skool. If you join our community on Skool, Skool's cookie policy applies there.
Consent
Strictly necessary cookies and settings you choose yourself do not need consent, so this site shows no cookie banner. If we ever add analytics or any other non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it, and update this page before we do.
How to control cookies
- Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its privacy settings. Blocking Cloudflare's cookies may mean you see more security checks.
- To reset your theme choice, clear site data for thetestedstack.com in your browser settings.
- To limit affiliate cookies, block third-party cookies in your browser or use a private window. Our reviews read the same either way.
Changes
When the cookies on this site change, we update the table above and the date at the top of this page.
