Who pays usand how we tell you

The Tested Stack earns affiliate commissions, and says so above every link. This page lists every way money or a relationship could touch a review, and what we do about it.

At a glance

  • We earn a commission when you buy some products through links in our reviews. You pay the same price.
  • Every affiliate link has a plain-words disclosure directly above it.
  • A commission never changes a verdict. We publish Skip verdicts on products we could earn from.
  • Vendors cannot pay for a review, a verdict or a place on this site.
  • We never make or repeat income claims.

How we make money

  • Affiliate commissions. We hold affiliate accounts with the marketplaces and vendors that sell the products we review. When you buy a reviewed product, or one of its upsells, through our link, the seller pays us a share of the sale. The commission comes out of the vendor's price, not on top of it.
  • Our own Claude skills. We sell Pro, the paid tier of our Claude skills library. The price, billing period, renewal, cancellation and refund terms for Pro are shown at checkout before you pay.

We do not sell advertising, sponsored posts or paid placements.

Every material connection

A material connection is any relationship that could affect how much you trust a recommendation. These are all of ours.

ConnectionWhat it meansWhere we disclose it
Affiliate commissionsWe may earn from a sale made through our linkDirectly above every affiliate link, and on this page
Product accessIf a seller gives us free access to a product, that is a material connectionOn each review where a vendor gave us access
Our own productsWe make and sell Claude skillsLabelled "our product" wherever we mention them
Our affiliatesPeople who refer customers to our Pro skills may earn a commissionWe require them to disclose it, see below
Vendor contactVendors may send us product details or answer questionsVendors never see or approve a review before it is published

Our own affiliates. Members of our Skool community can earn a commission when someone they refer upgrades to Pro, and affiliates who sell the Pro bundle earn a commission on each sale. Every affiliate must disclose that they are paid, in plain words, before or alongside the recommendation, and must make no income claims. We remove affiliates who do not.

How we label it

  • On this site: every affiliate link has this note directly above it: "Affiliate link. If you buy through it, The Tested Stack earns a commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change the verdict." Affiliate links are also marked rel="sponsored" for search engines.
  • In the Friday email: every email that contains an affiliate link says so near the top.
  • On video and social media: we say it out loud in videos and write it in the first lines of the description or post, before any link, for example "I earn a commission if you buy through my link."

We do not hide disclosures behind "more" links, in footers alone, or in hashtags such as #sp or #affiliate that readers may not understand.

Commissions and verdicts

  • We test a product before we decide whether to link to it.
  • We publish Skip verdicts on products that pay commissions.
  • We list every upsell and its price, including upsells we would earn a commission on.
  • A higher commission rate never moves a product up our pages or changes a verdict.

How we test and reach a verdict is set out on How we test, and our independence rules are in our editorial policy.

Reviews and testimonials

  • Every review on this site is written by the person who tested the product.
  • We do not buy, sell, write or publish fake reviews or testimonials, including ones generated by AI.
  • We do not pay or reward anyone for a positive review, and we do not suppress negative ones.
  • We do not present a vendor's testimonials as our own experience.

Earnings claims

Many digital products promise income. We do not repeat those promises, and we never say what a product will earn you. When a review needs to mention what a sales page claims, we label it as the vendor's claim and say whether our test supported it. What you get from any product depends on your skills, your effort, your audience and many other factors.

Prices and accuracy

Prices and upsells are shown as they were when we tested. Vendors change them, so check the sales page before you buy. If you find a price that has changed, tell us and we will update the review.

Who we are not affiliated with

The Tested Stack is independent. We are not owned by, affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any marketplace or vendor whose products we review. Holding an affiliate account is how commissions are paid. It does not give any marketplace or vendor a say over what we publish.

Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC. Our Claude skills run on Claude, but we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic.

Ownership

The Tested Stack is owned and operated by The Tested Stack, founded in 2026 by Edward Ramirez. If we ever review a product we make or have a financial stake in, apart from our own Claude skills, the review says so at the top.
